Charlotte Airport

One of our first objectives is to work with the Charlotte Airport to upgrade the existing exhibit to Carolinians in Space located near the entrance to Security Checkpoint A. The current exhibit is quite small and outdated and does not fully reflect the contributions to space exploration made by both Carolinas.

The current terminal is undergoing a major expansion and renovation. It would be ideal to time a refurbished exhibit in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary (April 2020) of Charlotte born astronaut Charlie Duke’s footsteps on the moon.
